New US govt respects Pakistan, says Trump aide

A close advisor to US President Donald Trump currently heading a delegation of investors to Pakistan to explore business opportunities stated that the US administration holds nothing but respect for the current leadership of Pakistan under Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

Gentry Beach expressed strong support for Pakistan’s leadership and its economic potential. During a press conference, Beach responded to questions about Richard Grenell, Trump’s special missions envoy, who had stirred controversy by supporting Imran Khan, the jailed chief of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. 

Beach clarified that Grenell may have been misinformed, adding that Grenell now has a better understanding of the situation and fully supports the efforts being made in Pakistan. Beach highlighted that the Trump administration’s focus was on economic diplomacy and revealed plans to invest billions of dollars in Pakistan. 

Key areas of investment include critical minerals, real estate, energy, technology, and artificial intelligence. He mentioned that luxury real estate projects would form a significant part of their investments, with plans to develop some of the highest-end properties ever seen in Pakistan. Beach also emphasized Pakistan’s vast untapped potential, backed by its skilled workforce and youthful population.

In a meeting with the US delegation, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed his government’s commitment to supporting foreign investors, ensuring a business-friendly environment. He highlighted Pakistan’s strategic location, its dynamic workforce, and its rapidly expanding consumer market as key factors for investment.

Beach praised the Pakistani government’s pro-investment policies and expressed optimism about the country’s future economic growth. He also stressed the importance of strengthening US-Pakistan relations, as both countries share a common vision for peace and prosperity. Beach concluded by noting that Pakistan represents one of the most significant global investment opportunities.
