Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has shared fresh details about Operation Ghazb-ul-Haq, stating that Pakistan has intensified its action against the Afghan Taliban regime.
According to him, 297 Afghan Taliban members have been killed so far, while more than 450 have been injured during the ongoing operation. He further reported that Pakistani forces destroyed 89 Afghan check posts and hoisted the national flag on 18 captured posts. In addition, security forces destroyed 135 Afghan tanks and military vehicles. The operation also targeted 29 locations across different areas of Afghanistan through precise airstrikes.
Earlier, while speaking to the media, the minister said that the DG ISPR briefed the nation in detail about Operation Lal-Haq and the overall Pak-Afghan situation. He stated that Pakistan responded effectively to Afghan aggression and secured several strategic positions. Moreover, Attaullah Tarar accused the Afghan Taliban regime of supporting terrorist activities against Pakistan.
He claimed that militants received training on Afghan soil and that Afghan nationals were involved in recent attacks, including incidents at the Islamabad judicial complex and in Tarlai. The minister also criticized the Taliban’s governance, alleging that their new criminal code contradicts international human rights standards and fundamental Islamic principles of equality and dignity. He asserted that the Taliban’s policies promote inequality and undermine basic rights.
