A high-profile journalist has come forward with some serious allegations against the men’s national cricket team following their brutal ouster from the T20 World Cup.
Mubashir Lucman claimed in his recent YouTube video that the Pakistan Cricket Team’s abysmal performance against the United States and India was a result of match-fixing and that many players secured properties in Australia and Dubai following the team’s back-to-back defeat.
Lucman also namedropped Babar Azam as someone involved in match-fixing, bringing into question Azam’s purchase of a multi-million dollar Audi which the player had said was a “gift” from his brother.
“I tried to investigate what his brother does for a living to own such an expensive car to gift Babar Azam and unsurprisingly I found out that he did nothing of value,” Lucman claimed.
The journalist claimed former players such as Wahab Riaz, Shahid Afridi, Shaheen Afridi, Inzamam Ul Haq, Saqlain Mushtaq, and Mushtaq Ahmed had been involved in match-fixing at some point in their careers.
