Pakistan to clash with India in Women’s World Cup on Oct 5

Pakistan and India are set to clash in the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 on Sunday, October 5.

The Pakistan and India women’s cricket teams are set to face each other again in a highly anticipated World Cup clash in Sri Lanka at 3 pm. This match comes just days after the conclusion of the 17th Asia Cup, where India defeated Pakistan by five wickets on September 28 to win the title for the ninth time. Both sides already met three times in that tournament, and now they are preparing for another intense battle on the global stage. The Women’s World Cup began in India, where the host team made a strong start by defeating Sri Lanka in the opening match. Pakistan, however, will play all of its World Cup games in Sri Lanka, adding more attention to their upcoming clash with India.

As excitement builds, a major question being asked by fans and media is whether players from both sides will shake hands this time. During the Asia Cup, Indian players avoided handshakes with Pakistani cricketers and kept their distance throughout the matches. This sparked wide debate and raised concerns about sportsmanship between the two rivals.

Despite these tensions, cricket lovers are eagerly waiting to see how the teams will perform on the field. The rivalry between Pakistan and India is one of the fiercest in sports, and every encounter brings immense pressure and passion. For the players, this match is not only about securing valuable World Cup points but also about handling the spotlight and the expectations of millions of supporters on both sides. The outcome will not only shape the World Cup journey of both teams but also add another chapter to the long and intense cricketing rivalry between Pakistan and India.
