Rain, thunderstorms, and heavy snowfall are expected in areas including Diamir, Skardu, Gilgit, Hunza, Neelum Valley, and Muzaffarabad from January 1 (night) to January 6, with breaks. Chitral, Swat, Dir, Kohistan, Abbottabad, and Waziristan will experience rain, thunderstorms, and snow on the hills between January 1 and January 5.

Murree and Galliyat will face heavy snowfall from January 1 (night) to January 6. Rain and thunderstorms are likely in Islamabad, Pothohar, Lahore, Sargodha, and Faisalabad from January 2 (night) to January 6 (morning). Light rain may occur in Multan, Bahawalnagar, and Sahiwal during the same period.

Rain and snow are forecast for Quetta, Ziarat, Kalat, and Khuzdar from January 1 to January 4, with possible disruptions in hilly areas. Most areas will remain dry and cold, but light rain may occur in Dadu, Sukkur, and Jacobabad on January 3 and 4.

  • Landslides and avalanches are possible in hilly areas, including KP and Gilgit-Baltistan.
  • Tourists should avoid unnecessary travel and exercise caution.
