Pakistan Weather Update from January to March: Dry January and Rainy March

ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan Disaster Management Authority has issued a warning for harsh and disastrous weather conditions in Punjab starting today till April 19.

The warning states that major and minor cities in Punjab are likely to have heavy rainstorms and thunderstorms starting today.

A spokesperson from PDMA also stated the need for the relevant departments to issue alerts and warnings to individuals.

Moreover, PDMA has also cautioned citizens to exercise caution in the coming week due to expectations of heavy hail storms as well.

District Emergency Operation Centers have been placed on high alert for these reasons as the weather is expected to get much worse than this.

To ensure readiness, the DG has requested 1122 and rescue bodies to ensure that their equipment and personnel are ready for unforeseen events.
