PM Shehbaz Sharif likely to visit China this month

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif prepares for an important official visit to China later this month. Sources confirm dates from May 23 to 25 are nearly finalized.

The trip aims to strengthen the iron-clad strategic partnership between Pakistan and China further. During the visit, Prime Minister Sharif will hold high-level meetings with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Li Keqiang. Leaders will discuss expanding bilateral cooperation across multiple sectors.

China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects receive special attention during these important talks. The visit coincides with celebrations marking 75 years of diplomatic relations between the two nations. Prime Minister Sharif will attend special events highlighting decades of friendship and mutual support. These occasions reinforce the deep bond between brotherly countries.

Several Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) and key agreements await signing. Documents cover cooperation in trade, infrastructure, energy, and technology sectors. These deals promise to boost Pakistan’s economy and create new opportunities for both nations. The visit carries added importance amid regional challenges. Pakistan and China coordinate closely on security, economic development, and peace initiatives.

Prime Minister Sharif seeks Chinese support for ongoing stability efforts while strengthening economic ties. CPEC remains central to discussions. Both sides review progress on roads, power plants, and special economic zones. New phases of cooperation promise job creation and industrial growth across Pakistan.

Business communities welcome the visit eagerly. Chambers of commerce expect trade agreements opening Chinese markets wider for Pakistani exports. Investors anticipate infrastructure projects accelerating economic development nationwide.

This high-level engagement reaffirms Pakistan’s strategic priority on China relations. The visit builds momentum for deeper cooperation benefiting ordinary citizens through better jobs and services. Both nations demonstrate commitment to all-weather friendship despite global uncertainties.
