Federal Petroleum Minister for Ali Parvez Malik has announced that Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif will soon unveil a plan to reduce electricity prices, ensuring relief for the people.
The government is prioritizing health and education, with efforts underway to improve public facilities. The transformation of Kot Khawaja Saeed Hospital from a dispensary into a full-fledged hospital is part of these initiatives, aimed at better serving the local community. This development follows directives from PML-N Chief Nawaz Sharif and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who are committed to supporting underprivileged citizens. Additionally, daily Iftar arrangements have been set up at the hospital.
The Petroleum Minister stated that the prime minister has instructed authorities to prevent hardships caused by gas load-shedding. He also assured that petrol and diesel prices would remain stable, with complete transparency in fuel taxation. Addressing electricity costs, he emphasized that upcoming reductions would provide long-term relief rather than temporary measures.
Reflecting on economic challenges, he noted that when Shehbaz Sharif took charge, petrol prices had crossed Rs300 per liter but were later reduced. The government is also working to revive industrial activity, ensuring that factories become fully operational again.
Discussing Pakistan’s current situation, the minister highlighted that the country is at a crucial turning point. He stressed the importance of making decisive reforms and moving away from outdated economic practices. He praised the prime minister’s efforts and called for collective action to build a better future.
