PM Shehbaz to speak at UN General Assembly

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will be speaking at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) later today, with his address centered around the Kashmir issue, the Palestinian crisis, and overall regional peace issues.

Shehbaz Sharif has reached New York after meeting US President Donald Trump in Washington. He will address the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) this evening, where he is expected to focus on the issues of Kashmir and Palestine. He will also highlight the ongoing Pakistan-India tension and other important global concerns, including peace in the Middle East.

PM’s Meeting with US Leadership

Earlier, the Prime Minister held an important meeting with President Trump at the White House. The discussion took place in a cordial atmosphere, with both leaders stressing the importance of strengthening bilateral ties. Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, US Vice President JD Vance, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio also joined the meeting.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office, the talks covered regional security, counter-terrorism cooperation, and intelligence sharing. The Prime Minister expressed gratitude to President Trump for acknowledging Pakistan’s role in fighting terrorism. He also underlined the need to deepen cooperation in security matters to ensure stability in the region.

Focus on Global Peace

In his upcoming UNGA address, the Prime Minister is expected to present Pakistan’s stance on regional conflicts while calling for global efforts to maintain peace. Officials believe his speech will underline Pakistan’s commitment to supporting peace in the Middle East and beyond.

The visit is seen as a significant diplomatic step, strengthening Pakistan’s engagement with the United States and the international community. The Prime Minister’s address at the UNGA will be closely watched as it is likely to set the tone for Pakistan’s position on critical global issues.
