Political leadership backs armed forces in Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif paid tribute to the Pakistan Army for delivering a strong response to recent aggression from across the Afghan border.

He stated that the armed forces possess full capability to crush hostile intentions and remain determined to protect the country’s peace and security at all costs. Furthermore, he emphasized that there will be no compromise on the defense of the homeland and that every act of aggression will receive a firm reply. He also appreciated the leadership of Field Marshal Asim Munir and praised the army’s professional commitment.

Meanwhile, President Asif Ali Zardari said the nation and armed forces stand united like a solid wall to safeguard Pakistan’s borders and integrity. He stressed that Pakistan seeks peace but will not tolerate threats or intimidation. In addition, he criticized the Afghan Taliban regime, alleging that terrorist elements, including TTP militants, have used Afghan soil to target Pakistan over the past several years. He warned that continued violence would invite decisive action.

At the same time, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf expressed full support for the armed forces. PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar stated that the party stands with the military in defending national security. Similarly, party spokesperson Sheikh Waqas Akram reiterated solidarity with soldiers and civilian martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the fight against terrorism.

Overall, political leadership across the spectrum has voiced unity and determination to counter cross-border threats. Authorities have reaffirmed that eliminating terrorism and ensuring national security remain top priorities, while also expressing a desire for regional peace based on mutual respect and stability.
