The Punjab University (PU) suspended three staff members on Monday for allegedly giving students access to two LLB test papers in exchange for cash.
Beginning on August 23, the yearly LLB (five-year) exams for sections I, II, III, IV, and V were held.
Key Punch Operator Athar, Naib Qasid Mohsin, and Junior Clerk Usman are among the suspended workers. After news of the document leak surfaced, the PU administration acted, and the Intelligence Bureau (IB) in Lahore launched an inquiry.
According to the IB’s investigation, two employees sold the first document for Rs35,000 and Rs6,000, while the third employee sold the second paper for Rs 100,000.
The authorities admitted to their involvement in the crime after being apprehended throughout the course of the inquiry.
The management had been keeping an eye on the staff members for circumventing the university’s document confidentiality procedures, according to a PU spokesman.
Based on strong evidence, the administration filed lawsuits and placed the staff under suspension.
He added that four students who bought the leaked papers had their papers revoked by the institution, and that Unfair Means Cases (UMC) had been brought against them.
