Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar, Provincial Minister for Labour, Sports, and Youth Affairs, has made major improvements to the Chief Minister Internship Program.
The Chief Minister Internship Program is set for a major expansion, with the monthly allowance increasing from Rs25000 to Rs60000. The number of interns will rise from 6000 to 10000, and the internship duration will extend from six months to one year.
These announcements were made during a Progress Review Session held at the E-Library and Youth Centre in Nishtar Park Sports Complex. The event was attended by key officials, including Additional Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Mian Usman Ali, Director General e-Governance PITB Sajid Latif, Director Admin Dr. M. Kaleem, and Director Youth Affairs Syed Umair Hasan.
Khokhar, who presided over the session, emphasized the need to establish a special complaint cell at the NPSC’s e-Library to address youth-related issues efficiently. He also recognized the contributions of officials like Mian Usman Ali and Sajid Latif, presenting them with souvenirs, though Mian Usman Ali returned his in a gesture of humility.
The internship program aims to provide better financial support and longer training periods for young professionals, enhancing their career prospects.
