Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has launched a new internship program for young people linked to the veterinary sector, offering both practical training and financial support.
The program will assist the veterinary graduates and paravets to acquire hands-on experience and enhance their employment opportunities throughout the province. The project will cost Rs 60 crore according to the officials. In this programme, the government is planning to develop skills and enhance professional training and equip the participants with greater employment opportunities in the future.
Moreover, the internship will assist young professionals in controlling their daily expenditures in the course of the training. The program will provide the veterinary graduates with a monthly stipend of Rs60000, and the paravets with a monthly stipend of Rs40000. This funding will enable the successful candidates to be able to concentrate on learning and working without having to give much concern with the cost factor.
This year, the government has allocated 264 seats for veterinary graduates and 371 positions for paravets. Consequently, this is a great opportunity that qualifying candidates all over the country can avail. It is particularly significant, according to the officials, as combines training and income, which makes it more advantageous to young professionals who aspire to enter the labor market with better skills.
In addition, the Punjab government has given an extension to the deadline of submitting an application. The candidates are currently able to submit their forms up to May 15, 2026. They are supposed to go to the Punjab Government site as at www.jobs.punjab.gov.pk and fill the online application form. They should also attach with the form all the necessary documents.
