Punjab police jobs for women; check latest update

LAHORE – The total number of women personnel in Punjab police is around 7,000 and the government is planning to increase their strength in the department.

The plan of increasing the number of women police officials in the department was revealed by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz while addressing a passing out parade at Chung Training Centre in Lahore.

On this occasion, the chief minister donned police uniform as she got mingled with the newly passed out lady police officials. Addressing the participants CM Maryam said she feels happy when she sees women police officers holding arms and performing their duty during different public rallies.

During her address, she said that the government aims at increasing the number of women police officers in the department to 50 percent. It means the number of policewomen will be equal to the number of male cops.

When Will the Police announce Jobs for Women?

The chief minister has expressed her intention of increasing number women police officials. The new jobs will be announced after an approval is granted by the government through an official process.
