To strengthen global academic partnerships, the University of Sargodha (UoS) has entered into an articulation agreement with Bangor University (BU), UK, facilitating student exchange and collaborative academic programmes in business studies.
This step aims to enhance international academic opportunities for students and faculty. The agreement was signed at UoS by Prof. Dr. Ijaz Asghar, Director of External Linkages, and Ms. Sergine Monple, Director of Global Engagement at Bangor University. Vice Chancellor of UoS Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas and Mr. Javed, Country Head of BU for Pakistan, were also present at the ceremony.
Through this partnership, eligible undergraduate business students from UoS will be able to transfer to Bangor University after completing two or three years of study. These students will earn a BU degree that holds the same value as those awarded in the UK.
In addition to student mobility, the agreement includes plans for expanding cooperation in other academic fields, faculty exchange, and joint research initiatives between the two institutions.
During the MoU ceremony, Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas appreciated the collaboration, describing it as a significant milestone in promoting academic excellence and providing global exposure to students in Pakistan.
Ms. Sergine Monple also shared her enthusiasm, stating that Bangor University looks forward to welcoming UoS students into its diverse and inclusive academic environment.
This partnership marks a new chapter in UoS’s efforts to connect students with international learning opportunities and strengthen its role in global academia.
