The national airline of Saudi Arabia, has announced ambitions to increase travel from Pakistan with the goal of receiving 3.5 million Pakistani tourists a year by 2030.
Saudia has had strong ties with Pakistan since 1970 when it launched its first flight to Karachi.
Today, the airline operates multiple weekly flights to major Pakistani cities, including Lahore, Islamabad, Karachi, Multan, Peshawar, and Sialkot.
To achieve its tourism goals, Saudia is enhancing its services. The airline is expanding its fleet with 105 new aircraft and introducing an AI-powered Travel Companion platform in beta.
This platform will simplify booking accommodations, transport, and activities, offering access to verified service providers.
Saudia is also improving its AlFursan loyalty program with new features for tracking rewards and upgrading memberships.
These steps are part of Saudia’s digital transformation to enhance customer experience.
Saudi Arabia is targeting Pakistan as a key market for religious pilgrimages, leisure, and business travel, helping the Kingdom reach its ambitious goal of 330 million annual tourists by 2030.
