Saudi Arabia and Pakistan ink strategic defense pact

Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif signed a joint strategic defense agreement in Riyadh on Wednesday, Saudi Press Agency reported.

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have signed a major defense agreement aimed at boosting security cooperation and ensuring peace in the region. Upon his arrival, he was given an official reception before holding a round of talks with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

During the meeting, both leaders reviewed the historic and strategic partnership between their countries. They also discussed issues of mutual interest, including regional security and cooperation in defense and other sectors. Sharif expressed gratitude to the crown prince for the warm welcome and hospitality extended to him and his delegation. He also conveyed greetings and best wishes for King Salman, while appreciating the strong ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
