Schools reopen after summer break in several provinces

Educational institutions in Sindh and Balochistan reopened as summer vacations came to an end across the provinces.

Students are happy to return to school as regular classes have resumed in many areas. Educational activities are running smoothly, and schools are following the usual routine. In Karachi, most private schools are set to reopen on August 4, according to an official announcement. Preparations are underway as schools gear up to welcome students back after the long summer break.

Meanwhile, the Sindh Education Department had earlier declared summer vacations for all public and private schools and colleges across the province. These holidays began on June 1 and are scheduled to end on July 31. Classes will resume in August 2025. The decision aimed to protect students and teachers from the extreme heat during summer. In Balochistan, the education department also announced school holidays, but only for winter zones. As per a notification issued earlier, schools in these areas are closed from July 22 to July 1, 2025. This includes both government and private institutions.

These regional decisions reflect the different climate conditions in various parts of the country. While Sindh faces extreme summer heat, the winter zones in Balochistan operate on a different schedule due to their cooler weather. The return of students to classrooms marks the end of the summer break and the start of a new academic phase. School administrations are taking steps to ensure a smooth transition, and students are showing enthusiasm as they resume learning activities.

Authorities have also reminded schools to take all necessary safety and health measures, especially during the initial reopening days, to ensure a comfortable environment for students and staff.
