Security forces have killed seven Khwarij during intelligence-based operations in Dera Ismail Khan and North Waziristan Districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
These operations targeted militants involved in terrorist activities, including bomb-making. In Mir Ali, North Waziristan, security forces launched an operation that led to an intense exchange of fire. Four terrorists were killed, and three were injured. A search operation is ongoing to track down any remaining militants.
In Dera Ismail Khan, security forces eliminated three terrorists specializing in making explosive devices. Authorities are continuing their investigation in the area.
Meanwhile, in Hassan Khel, a soldier was martyred, and three others were injured during a clash with terrorists. A joint operation by the police, Counter-Terrorism Department, and security forces resulted in the killing of three militants, including a key member of a banned outfit.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif commended the security forces for their efforts in combating terrorism.
In a separate incident in Bannu, armed men kidnapped and killed a police constable and another individual due to personal enmity. The captors recorded the incident and shared it on social media. Authorities are investigating the case.
