The Punjab government has formally closed the grievance process pertaining to the CM Laptop Scheme 2025.
Under the Punjab Laptop Scheme, a total of 93441 applications have been received, and students are now eagerly waiting for the merit lists. The scheme aims to distribute 110000 laptops to eligible BS students from the 1st and 2nd semesters studying in public sector colleges, universities, and medical and dental colleges under the Higher Education Department (HED). Students from private colleges are not eligible for this program.
This initiative is designed to support educational progress, digital inclusion, skill development, and economic empowerment among the youth of Punjab. According to recent updates, the merit lists for Phases IV and V have been released. Selected students can check their status on the official website of the scheme.
The distribution of laptops is expected to start soon after final confirmation of the merit lists. Officials say the laptops come with modern technology to help students in their academic and research work.
This scheme is part of the government’s broader plan to strengthen higher education through digital tools. Students and parents have appreciated the move, seeing it as a step toward bridging the digital divide and increasing access to online learning.
Authorities have advised selected students to keep checking the website regularly for further instructions regarding the distribution schedule and venue details.
