Three security men embrace martyrdom in Khyber attack

KHYBER: Three security personnel embraced martyrdom during a militant attack in a series of militant attacks on security posts in Khyber district, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement on Friday.

“On 9 August 2024, fire exchange took place between Security Forces and the Khwarij at three different locations in Tirah Valley of Khyber District,” the military’s media wing said.

The statement said that security forces were able to eliminate four militants but lost three men during exchange of fire.

“However, during the intense fire exchange, three brave sons of soil; Havildar Inam Gul (age: 37 years, resident of District Mianwali), Sepoy Muhammad Imran (age: 29 years, resident of District Tank) and Sepoy Iltaf Khan (age: 22 years, resident of District Mardan), having fought gallantly embraced Shahadat,” it said.

“Sanitization operation is being conducted to eliminate any other Kharji found in the area as Security Forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe-out the menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve,” the statement concluded.
