Top Pakistani players join 2026 National T20 Cup

Former Pakistan captain Babar Azam and pace bowler Naseem Shah have been drafted into the Lahore Whites squad for the upcoming National T20 Cup, set to be held at the Imran Khan Cricket Stadium in Peshawar from March 7th to 18th.

Big news for cricket fans: Babar Azam and Naseem Shah join Lahore Whites for the National T20 Cup. PCB added the star duo at the last minute to the squad led by captain Aamir Jamal. The tournament kicks off March 7 at Peshawar’s Imran Khan Cricket Stadium and runs until March 18. Lahore Whites also welcome Ahmed Daniyal and Mohammad Salman to strengthen their lineup.

Aamir Jamal’s team opens against Peshawar on day one, then faces Faisalabad on March 9. Eighteen regional teams battle across 23 matches at the venue, which hosted nine Quaid-e-Azam Trophy games in late 2025. Teams split into two groups.

Group A features Lahore Whites, Peshawar, Faisalabad, Karachi Whites, and Bahawalpur. Group B pits defending champs Lahore Blues against Sialkot, Multan, Abbottabad, and Karachi Blues. The top two from each group advance to semi-finals. The group stage spans March 7-16 with double-headers daily: first match at 4:15 pm, second at 9:15 pm. Final toss at 7:30 pm, play from 8:00 pm.
