The UAE’s top diplomat has once again denied rumours of a visa ban on Pakistanis.
For the past two years, false claims have circulated that the UAE is not issuing visas to Pakistanis, but these claims have been firmly denied by UAE Consul General Dr. Bakheet Ateeq Al Remeithi.
Speaking at an event in Karachi on Tuesday, he assured that Pakistanis can still apply for visas directly at UAE visa centres.
Dr. Remeithi emphasized that the UAE’s leadership is committed to strengthening ties with Pakistan.
He mentioned that significant projects between the two countries are in progress, and positive developments are expected in the coming months.
The Pakistani Embassy in the UAE also addressed these rumours last week, stating that such claims are “factually incorrect” and reaffirming the strong and cordial relationship between the two nations.
Both governments are focused on resolving issues through official channels and dialogue.
In August, Dr. Remeithi had urged those spreading false information to stop, warning that social media activity, whether positive or negative, could impact visa applications and renewals.
