Well-known Layah politician and former member of the National Assembly Malik Niaz Ahmed Jhekar passed away due to a long-lasting illness.
The death was confirmed by family sources who said that he was dying peacefully and finally met his Creator. The news of his death was crushing news in the political and social circles of Layah. Mournings went round like a wildfire in the communities that had been aware of how hard he had been working on behalf of the people.
Jhekar had a son, current MNA Owais Haider Jhekar, who represents the current Layah seat. The elder Jhekar represented the National Assembly on four occasions and had a long career of defeat four times. He changed parties but remained loyal to the service of the people. Jhekar became a winner in 2018 on the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf ticket in the final chapter. He was an advocate of local solutions and expansions that boosted Layah. People can recall him as a champion of daily needs and improved life.
Citizens, PTI workers, and political leaders mobbed out tributes. They praised his devotion and blessed his soul. Social media was filled with recollections of his assisting hand. Jhekar would never leave area problems last. Due to him, roads were improved, schools received support, and voices were heard higher. His legacy is in lives reached and gradual development.
The family shortly has a funeral prayer and burial. The inhabitants of the area prepare to attend as a way of finding peace for the deceased leader. PTI flags are flying half-mast. Layah is deprived of a real son and servant. Young statesmen look down on his line of hard work and of caution. Another chapter of the public life is closed by the nation.
