Free PTA Mobile Registration in Pakistan: A Complete Guide

PTA has announced the Free temporary Registration of mobile devices. This comes in the wake of devices coming from abroad and instant PTA approvals weren’t available right at airports and this made the overseas Pakistanis travelling have their PTA’s blocked right at the airport.

The system of Temporary Registration has been announced by the PTA. By using this method, you can get your PTA mobile registration free of cost for a period of 120 days.

This temporary Registration allows for a free PTA unblock that doesn’t even have a Tax fee. This is primarily for visitors.

In the latest update, Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) announced that visitors can have their free PTA approval for upto 120 days.

How to PTA Register Mobile for free in Pakistan

You will need to use the online portal that has been announced by PTA, the DIRBS system. Follow the steps below to register your mobile phone without paying PT Tax in Pakistan.

1. Go to the online DIRBS portal given by PTA. You can go to the portal here.

2. Go to the signup option and create your account.

3. Click on ‘Temporary Registration’ and proceed forward.

4. Submit your form by giving your personal details.

5. An email and SMS will be sent to you for verification.

6. Once you open the email and follow the instructions, your account will be activated.

7. After your account has been activated, go to the portal again.

8. Once you revisit the portal, you will find a declaration form, accept the terms and conditions and choose Temporary Registration again.

9. Afterwards, you will be prompted to add your ID Card number and passport number. You will also be prompted to add your entry and departure date.

10. Then, add your network operator, and generate the six digit OTP.

11. You will then be asked to add the generated OTP and this will officially activate your account.

This way you can register your mobile with PTA without tax. It is the best method for free PTA approval without the payment of any tax. This temporary registration is only valid for Overseas Pakistanis.
