Islamabad-Gilgit flights suspended by PIA: Check latest updates here

In a shocking turn of events, the Pakistan International Airlines has halted the Islamabad-Gilgit flights momentarily. This suspension of flights has caused a lot of hassle for the passengers travelling to and from Islamabad and Gilgit.

The Gilgit-Islamabad flights had been suspended and were resumed recently, two days ago. This resumed flight schedule relieved the patients but then abruptly after two days the flight operations were suspended again. A total of 19 flights have been suspended and an immense number of passengers have been disturbed. 

Immediate Suspension of Islamabad-Gilgit Flights by PIA

Initially 4 flights to Gilgit have been suspended again from Islamabad by the PIA. The four flights that were headed were flight PK-601, PK-602, PK-605, PK-606. Moreover, several flights that were headed to Dubai have also been affected by this hassle.

This suspension has created an unusual situation for the passengers as they’re now stuck between their destinations. PIA has left the passengers in the dark as they’re told to stay updated with the flight’s official notifications and announcements. The reason for this immediate suspension has not been confirmed yet even though there have been rumours that the planes are not fit for service. 

The news of this suspension has striked a lot of tension between the general public and Pakistan’s aviation industry as they believe Pakistan’s aviation industry has been lacking and it needs to improve to profile quality service for Pakistani citizens. This way the citizens will also be able to benefit alongside the Airline as they’ll opt for PIA rather than other International travelling services.
