Driving License Fee to Increase by January 16; Check New Fee Here

LAHORE – The Caretaker CM of Punjab, Mohsin Naqvi stated on Tuesday that the driving license issuance fee is likely to increase in Punjab starting January 16, 2024.

The driving license fee had already increased as per the last notification on December 5, 2023. The fee had massive rise of almost 1500% and went from Rs 60 to Rs 1,000.

The driving license fee is set to further increase from January 16, 2024 and the increase has been approved in the 33rd meeting of the Cabinet which was held in Lahore, and headed by Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi.

Mohsin Naqvi advised the citizens to get their licenses as soon as possible as the fee will increase.

Moreover, he commended the Driving License issuing authorities on achieving an overwhelming feat.

Punjab issued a record 10 million driving licenses in  2023 which was stated by CM Mohsin Naqvi in an X post. 

Failure to obtain a driving license and drive on the roads of Punjab an prove to be very dangerous as the authorities are on a strict crackdown.
