Spy drone from India taken down by Pak army

Pakistan Army on Tuesday shot down an Indian quadcopter after it violated Pakistan’s airspace along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Manawar sector of Bhimber district.

Pakistan shot down an Indian drone after it crossed the Line of Control and attempted to carry out surveillance activities. Military sources confirmed that Pakistan’s alert forces acted quickly to intercept and destroy the drone. The incident highlights India’s repeated spying efforts and shows the Pakistan Army’s strong commitment to defend the nation’s borders.

Following several aggressive moves from India, the National Security Committee (NSC) took major decisions. The Wagah Border Post has been closed immediately, and all cross-border travel through this route is now suspended. However, individuals who already crossed with valid approvals may return through Wagah by 30 April 2025.

Pakistan also cancelled all SAARC Visa Exemption Scheme (SVES) visas issued to Indian nationals, except for Sikh pilgrims. Indian citizens in Pakistan under SVES are told to leave within 48 hours, except those on religious visits.

Furthermore, Pakistan declared India’s Defence, Naval, and Air Advisors in Islamabad as unwanted persons. They have been asked to leave Pakistan before or on 30 April 2025, along with their support staff. The Indian High Commission in Islamabad will also face staff reduction. Pakistan has ordered that the number of Indian diplomats and staff be limited to 30 members starting from 30 April.

Pakistan has closed its airspace for all Indian-owned or Indian-operated airlines. No flights from these airlines can enter Pakistani airspace from now on. The NSC also suspended all trade with India, including trade involving third countries passing through Pakistan. These actions show Pakistan’s serious response to recent tensions and underline its strong stance on national security and sovereignty.
