Toyota unveils the new Corolla Cross HEV

ISLAMABAD – Indus Motor Company revealed the new Corolla Cross HEV at a ceremony in Bhurban. IMC had their 7th Journalist meeting at Bhurban.

Chief Engineer Yasushi Ueda stated that the SUV will be the backbone of the Toyota Architecture and the new Electric Vehicle will be the shining emblem of Toyota as the world is moving towards Electric Vehicles.

Featuring a Rear Cross Traffic Alert, 9-inch Floating Display, Blind Spot Monitor, Power mode, Multi Drive Modes (EV, ECO, and Power), Bi-Beam LED Headlamps, a 1.8L Hybrid Electric Engine, 7 SRS Airbags, and Clearance Sonars, the Corolla Cross ensures an unparalleled driving experience with a comprehensive blend of comfort, convenience, and safety.

The Chief Executive Officer of IMC Ali Asghar Jamali stated that the Corolla Cross HEV has superior fuel efficiency which saves up almost 50% fuel proving to be one of the most economical cars in Pakistan. 

He further stated that this doesn’t just help the customer boost their savings on fuel but also makes the vehicle and company less dependent on imported fuel.

He also stated that the Crolla Cross HEV is best suited for the future as it goes on with the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations and is more environment friendly than normal combustion engine and petrol or diesel run vehicles.

He also showed his concern on the current situation of Pakistan’s energy and environment stating that Pakistan mostly relies on-renewable sources of energy. 

The introducing EV vehicles into the market is not only going to advantage us in halting climate change but also fight off the immense fuel requirements of the nation in terms of transportation.

Talking about the legacy of Corolla itself, he stated that since 1993 after the launch of Corolla, this amazing vehicle has carved a name for itself which in turn didn’t just show Toyota’s commitment to providing classic vehicles to the country but also shows the love and support of the Pakistani community towards Corolla itself making it one of the best sold cars in the country.
