Petrol price cut by Rs10 per liter, diesel by Rs13.6 for September

ISLAMABAD – The federal government on Sunday announced major cut in fuel prices. as petrol prices dropped by Rs10 per liter, while diesel rate moved down by Rs13.6 per liter. Additionally, the price of light diesel oil will decrease by Rs12.12 per liter.

This adjustment comes in response to a recommendation from the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra), prompted by a recent decline in international crude oil prices. Over the past month, global oil prices have fallen from approximately $90 to $70 per barrel, reaching their lowest point in six months.

Ogra advised the finance ministry to implement a price cut of Rs6 to Rs10 per liter to reflect these changes in the global market. The government’s decision aims to provide relief to consumers and adjust domestic prices in line with international trends.
