The University of Karachi has come to an agreement and signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Karachi Alumni Association in Houston, Texas to provide need based scholarships to Pakistani students.
The scholarships will last for two semesters and students of eight departments can take advantage of this opportunity. Students of International Relations (IR), Economics, Computer Science, Psychology, Chemistry, and Mathematics fall into the eight department bracket.
This MoU was signed between the Vice Chancellor of University of Karachi, Dr. Khalid Mehmood and the President of Alumni Association, Mohammad Azam Akhtar. The VC of UoK states that their students have great potential and the Alumni’s always look after their University. They have benefited the students here and the provision of these need-based scholarships is an amazing opportunity for the students here to have foreign exposure and study in the US.
The president of the Alumni Association stated that it couldn’t have been possible without the crucial role that the faculty at University of Karachi has played. He also reassured that the Alumni’s of Karachi will always look back at their University and will try to help the students here as much as they can.
