The Chief Minister of Punjab, Mohsin Naqvi has paid yet another visit to the Rawalpindi Ring Road project. This is his third visit in the last 25 days. During his visit he was briefed about the progress of the project where he urged that it should be complete on schedule.
On Friday, CM Punjab Mohsin Naqvi paid his third visit to the Rawalpindi Ring Road project. He was briefed by Colonel Ayaz of FWO. He later did an Aerial Inspection of the entire road which is approximately 38 kms long. He witnessed the progress of the workers first-hand and expressed his remarks.
He stated that this is going to be extremely beneficial for the citizens of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. The majority of traffic issues will be resolved by the completion and operation of this project. He further stated that as all land has been acquired and handed over to the contractor, it should not be delayed.
During the briefing given by Colonel Ayaz of FWO, Rawalpindi Commissioner alongside RPO Rawalpindi, and CPO were also present. The Ring Road is 38.3 kms long and the construction for subways and sewage lines has already started. Road sections have also been started as the work is going on at full speed. CM Punjab stated that timely operation of this road is necessary for the citizens of Rawalpindi and Islamabad, and he is there for any assistance provided the project faces any obstacles.
