US-Israel strikes on Iran push global oil prices up to $80

Oil prices surged after the U.S. and Israel traded deadly blows with Iran across the Middle East, leaving Wall Street bracing for the economic fallout of an extended regional war.

Global oil prices have surged by 10 percent following recent Israeli and American attacks on Iran, reflecting growing concerns over instability in the Middle East. As tensions escalate, the international energy market has reacted swiftly, pushing crude oil prices to around 80 dollars per barrel.

Earlier this year, oil prices had already climbed to nearly 73 dollars per barrel due to supply concerns and steady global demand. However, the latest military developments have intensified fears of potential disruptions in oil-producing regions. Consequently, traders and investors are closely monitoring the situation.

Energy experts warn that if the crisis continues or expands, prices could rise even further. In fact, some analysts predict that oil may reach 100 dollars per barrel if tensions persist or if shipping routes in key areas face disruption. Such an increase would likely impact fuel prices, transportation costs, and overall inflation worldwide.

Moreover, the Strait of Hormuz remains a critical factor in market stability, as a significant portion of global oil shipments passes through this strategic route. Any threat to safe passage in the region can immediately influence global supply chains. Therefore, uncertainty continues to drive volatility in the energy market.

Higher oil prices may also put additional pressure on developing economies that rely heavily on fuel imports. At the same time, oil-producing countries could see increased revenues if prices remain elevated. Overall, the recent spike highlights how geopolitical tensions directly affect global markets. The coming days will be crucial in determining whether diplomatic efforts can ease the crisis or whether prolonged instability will push energy prices even higher.
