Korangi robbery: Rs30 million in gold and cash stolen by armed men

Residents of Korangi, Karachi, were left in shock after a house robbery in Zaman Town’s Sector 35-A, where armed men looted gold and cash worth nearly 30 million rupees.

According to police, three suspects entered the house at gunpoint, holding all family members hostage. They forced everyone into a single room and locked the door while they calmly searched the house. The victim, identified as Zafar, told authorities that the robbers stole around 22 tolas of gold and 18.5 million rupees in cash. CCTV footage later revealed the suspects entering the house, helping police in their ongoing investigation.

Following the incident, the Korangi police registered a case and are actively working to identify the suspects using video evidence. Officers said raids are being planned to apprehend the culprits and recover the stolen property. This robbery has raised concerns about residential security in the area, prompting local residents to remain vigilant. Authorities urged citizens to report any suspicious activity immediately to prevent similar incidents in the future.

Police officials emphasized that the investigation is ongoing, and they are coordinating with nearby stations to track the suspects’ movements. They also confirmed that forensic teams are reviewing the CCTV footage to gather more leads. The community is now awaiting swift action from law enforcement to ensure the culprits are caught and justice is served.

Meanwhile, authorities are reminding homeowners to enhance security measures and remain alert to protect their families and property. The Korangi house robbery highlights the growing need for coordinated efforts between citizens and police to maintain safety in Karachi neighborhoods. The police have assured residents that all steps are being taken to resolve the case quickly.
