Pakistani music maestro Rahat Fateh Ali Khan made headlines as top media publications reported his arrest in United Arab Emirates.
The speculation about the arrest of Teri Ore singer at Dubai Airport has been dispelled as Rahat himself shared a video, clarifying that he was not arrested but had merely undergone standard airport procedures and routine questioning.
Khan ,49, reassured his fans that he is now back to fulfilling his work commitments, and explained that Dubai authorities had received questioning requests, which could be made by anyone. Rahat urged his fans to ignore “baseless and trivial” news and mentioned that he will soon return to Pakistan and release new songs.
It was initially reported that Rahat’s ex-manager, Salman Ahmed lodged complaints with UAE officials after a disagreement a few months ago, leading both parties to file legal cases against each other.
Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is named among all time legend musicians renowned for his Qawwali. The nephew of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, is among most celebrated and highest-paid singers.
Besides Qawwali, Rahat also performs ghazals and other forms of light music and is widely recognized as a playback singer in both Hindi cinema and the Pakistani film industry.
