Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s visa denied by US Embassy

In recent news, the US Embassy has denied Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s visa to visit the USA for an event. The embassy claimed that the popular singer, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan didn’t pay his taxes during his past visits from 2015 to 2023.

The Embassy stated that in order for Rahat to get the visa, he needs to provide proper IRS documentation for the verification of tax payments. They also asked Rahat to give them the legal documents regarding the Bollywood Event LLC. However, the singer stated that he had fulfilled all his taxation obligations and had already paid the taxes. He further added that the payment he had gotten from the events he had attended or performed in the USA was already after the taxation amount had been charged.

Rahat’s response to visa Denial

Moreover, the singer has also stated that he has already contacted his promoters to discuss the issue and has asked them to provide the documentation. He has expressed his dissatisfaction on this matters stating that he had paid all taxes and it was the duty of his promoters and managers to pay the taxes as the amount had already been deducted from him.

He was to travel to the United States of America on 18th Nov 2023 to attend and possibly perform at a musical event being held there. However, due to his denial his legal team over the USA has also gotten a backlash and the authorities are now also looking at them with keen eyes. Several sources suggest that an investigation may also be launched on his team over at USA to get to the bottom of this situation.
