Rabiul Awwal moon was not sighted in Pakistan on Wednesday and Eid Miladun Nabi (SAW) will be celebrated on September 17 Tuesday according to the moon-sighting committee’s announcement.
Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Chairman Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad announced that the third month of the Islamic calendar will start on September 6 following committee’s meeting in Islamabad. Zonal Ruet-e-Hilal committees also gathered in cities like Karachi, Peshawar, Quetta, and Lahore.
Representatives from the Pakistan Meteorological Department, SUPARCO, and the Ministry of Science and Technology also attended the meeting.
Muslims are waiting for Eid Miladun Nabi (SAW) to mark the birth of Holy Prophet SAW. On this day, buildings and shrines across the country are being illuminated. The government and religious organizations are organizing various programs to honor the character and compassionate acts of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) with great reverence.
Eid Milad used to be observed across country to pay homage to Prophet Muhammad (SAW). Special prayers will be offered in mosques for the peace, progress, and prosperity of the country, as well as for the early liberation of Palestine and Kashmir from illegal occupation.
The government used to arrange strict security measures to ensure a safe and peaceful observance of this sacred day.
