Oil Tanker carrying fuel overturns and catches fire at old Airport road, Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI – An Oil Tanker carrying fuel for Pakistan Air Force overturns at the gate of PAF Noor Khan Airbase and catches fire. The fire spread in the entire area covering a major portion of the road.

According to sources the oil tanker was carrying fuel for the Pakistan Air Force and due to unknown reasons collapsed and caught fire, lighting the entire area ablaze late Wednesday night.

Afterwards, the medical authorities alongside the Police arrived after being informed and blocked the road off to avoid any further incidents and diverted all traffic.

Rescue 11 teams also arrived shortly and after a long battle were able to succeed in tickling the fire and extinguishing it. Sources suggest that no casualty has been reported as of yet.

The causes of the collapse of the oil tanker are still unknown and an investigation is underway which will provide us with valuable insights to how the incident occurred.
