Bus-Truck crash in hub leaves 7 dead and 17 hurt

A deadly accident near Uthal Zero Point in Hub, Balochistan, left seven people dead and 17 others injured after a passenger bus collided with a truck.

A tragic road accident in Uthal claimed several lives when a truck loaded with stones collided with a passenger coach traveling from Panjgur to Karachi. Police confirmed that a woman and two children were among the fatalities. At least five injured passengers remain in critical condition and were shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi for advanced treatment. Other victims were taken to District Headquarters Hospital Uthal, where medical teams are providing care.

The Balochistan government expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives and assured that rescue teams reached the site immediately after the accident. According to an official statement, all injured passengers are being moved to nearby hospitals and provided with necessary medical aid. The provincial spokesperson extended condolences to the grieving families and said the administration has been directed to ensure full support and relief.

Eyewitnesses reported that the collision occurred when the speeding truck suddenly lost control and hit the coach head-on. The force of the impact left the passenger vehicle badly damaged, making rescue efforts difficult. Emergency responders worked for hours to pull passengers from the wreckage.

Authorities have launched an inquiry to determine the exact cause of the accident. Preliminary findings suggest negligence and overspeeding could be possible factors, but investigators are also examining whether mechanical failure played a role. The district administration confirmed that measures are being taken to prevent such incidents in the future. Road safety campaigns and stricter enforcement of traffic rules are expected to be part of the response.
