The City Traffic Police Lahore has implemented a law that makes it mandatory for front seat passengers in vehicles to fasten the seat belt as they can face fines in case of violation.
Lahore Traffic Police have intensified efforts to enforce seat belt usage, emphasizing its role in preventing injuries during accidents. Both drivers and front-seat passengers must wear seat belts, and now backseat passengers are also required to comply.
In a video shared on the Lahore Traffic Police Facebook page, an officer stated that backseat passengers who fail to wear seat belts will face fines. The violator, not the driver, will be responsible for paying the penalty.
Currently, the fine for not wearing a seat belt while driving in Lahore is Rs750. Authorities are urging citizens to follow safety rules to reduce road accident risks.
