Davis Cup: Pakistan makes preparations as Indian Team to arrive in Islamabad on Jan 29, 2023

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan is all set to host the Davis Cup World Cup I play-offs as the Indian team is scheduled to arrive in Islamabad, Pakistan on January 29, 2024.

The matches of the Davies cup in Pakistan will be held in Islamabad’s Sport Complex as the complex finalies preparations for the arrival of the Indian team scheduled for 29 January, 2024.

The play-offs for the Davies cup in Pakistan are scheduled for February 4 and February 5 in Pakistan and Paksitan’s squad looks ready.

The Pakistani team includes Munzamil Murtaza, Aisam ul Haq, Aqeel Khan, Mohammad Shoaib, Barkatullah, and Mohammad Abid. 

Regarding security concerns the Director General of Paksitan’s Sports Board stated, “We have discussed various matters related to maintaining top-notch security measures for the upcoming visit of the expected Indian team on their tour to Pakistan”.

A meeting was held in which a comprehensive security plan was shared with all the relevant authorities to ensure proper security measures.

The Davis cup was established in 1900 and over 140 countries participate in it. The cup is also referred to as the “Tennis World Cup” and proper security measures are taken for all International teams.

The Play-offs for the 2024 Davis Cup or Tennis World Cup Tier 1 are played on the basis of home and away with the initial play-offs scheduled for February 3 to February 5. 

The winning countries are scheduled to play Tier 1 matches in September while the losing countries will play Tier two matches from September,
