DG ISPR vows strong response to foreign aggression

DG ISPR Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has reaffirmed the Pakistan Army’s strong commitment to protecting the country’s sovereignty.

He made these remarks during an interactive session with students and faculty of different universities in Abbottabad, where he discussed current national security issues and regional challenges. He highlighted that Pakistan has taken strong and effective steps against terrorism and extremism and will not allow any force to destabilize the country. He also spoke about recent tensions with Afghanistan and assured that the armed forces remain fully prepared and committed to safeguarding national sovereignty.

The session was attended by a large number of students and teachers, who paid tribute to the martyrs and ex-servicemen for their sacrifices. Hazara University Vice Chancellor Dr. Ikramullah Khan praised the Pakistan Army for its dedication and called it a true symbol of love for the country. The discussion also addressed the increasing spread of misinformation aimed at misleading the youth.

Teachers emphasized the need to provide students with verified and accurate information to counter hostile narratives. Students expressed pride in the Pakistan Army and appreciated its role in guiding the youth and ensuring national peace. One student noted that misinformation on social media about the armed forces had been clarified, making them feel more informed and confident. Lt Gen Chaudhry’s candid responses helped students understand the army’s responsibilities in maintaining peace, stability, and coordination at both national and provincial levels. The session concluded with renewed confidence among students in the role of the armed forces and the importance of staying united against misinformation and external threats.
