The weather is expected to remain dry in most parts of the country on Friday, while mountainous regions are likely to experience cold conditions.
Weather conditions across the country are likely to remain dry on Friday, with cold temperatures expected in the northern and hilly areas, especially during the morning and night. The Pakistan Meteorological Department has advised citizens to prepare for chilly conditions in mountainous regions as winter intensifies.
In addition, smog is expected to persist in the eastern districts of Punjab due to ongoing dry weather and increasing air pollution. Authorities have urged residents, particularly in Lahore and surrounding areas, to take precautions, including wearing masks and avoiding unnecessary outdoor travel, especially for children and elderly people.
During the last 24 hours, most parts of the country experienced dry weather, while mountainous areas remained cold. Smog continued to affect eastern Punjab, reducing visibility in some areas. The lowest temperatures were recorded in Leh at minus 02 degrees Celsius, followed by Skardu at zero degrees Celsius, indicating a drop in temperatures in northern high-altitude zones.
Meanwhile, Islamabad and nearby regions are expected to remain dry throughout Friday. However, cold conditions are likely in the morning and night, and residents are advised to dress warmly to stay protected from temperature drops.
As the cold season gradually strengthens, health experts have also encouraged people to stay hydrated, use warm clothing, and avoid exposure to smog to prevent respiratory issues. The current weather pattern is likely to continue over the next few days, with further temperature drops expected in northern parts of the country.
