ISLAMABAD – In recent news, damages to the submarine fiber optic cable have caused mass disruptions in the speed of the internet across Pakistan.
Sources suggest that the submarine fiber optic cable connecting Singapore to Pakistan and Europe has suffered some damages.
People in various parts of Pakistan are experiencing a slow and sluggish internet speed due to a fault that occurred in the underwater fiber optic cable.

Pakistan Telecommunication Authority has stated that disruptions in the East are the main cause for the slow internet speed in some parts of the country.
The total estimated traffic by PTA from that region accounts for almost 10% of all the traffic and PTA is making efforts to find alternatives for better browsing experience for users.
According to sources, the submarine fibre optic cable has around five cuts which is going to take at least a month to fix to return internet connectivity back to normal.
