The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) has officially lifted the suspension imposed on the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF).
The suspension, imposed on February 6, was removed on March 2 after the PFF ratified the revised constitution to meet FIFA’s governance standards.
Shahid Khokhar from the PFF Normalisation Committee confirmed that Pakistan can now participate in international football events. The suspension was due to resistance in amending clauses related to the electoral process, but after negotiations, the amendments were approved on February 27.
This was not the first ban on PFF, as FIFA had suspended it in April 2021 over third-party interference, later lifting the ban in June 2022.
