Former SHO shot dead by stepbrother in Lahore

A former police officer was tragically shot and killed by his stepbrother on Thursday in the Joray Pull area in North Cantt, Lahore,

The victim and accused had an altercation when the accused, who was the previous SHO Lohari Gate Shahid Asghar’s son, allegedly harassed one of Ali’s security guards.

The victim’s kid had been subjected to constant harassment by his security guards, which Shahid Asghar had previously addressed his stepbrother Ali about. Ali had been urged by Shahid to make sure his guards stop acting in such an unsettling way.

The brothers’ tensions increased following these warnings, leading to the deadly encounter. Ali fatally shot Shahid the day of the event and left the area. Police moved the body to the mortuary.

In the past 24 hours, 1,283 traffic accidents in all of Punjab’s districts required the response of the Emergency Services Department (ESD).

There were 1,381 injuries and 11 fatalities from these incidents. Rescue medical workers treated 783 patients with minor injuries at the scene, while 598 victims with significant injuries were sent to separate hospitals.
