LAHORE: The Punjab government intends to introduce a framework for expanding access to free education across the province.
To this effect, the provincial education ministry will conduct a survey of private schools to identify children whose parents meet a certain income cap. These students will then be exempted from paying fee in private schools.
It is worth mentioning that the Punjab government wants private schools to at least provide free-of-cost education to 10% of deserving students.
Moreover, the Private Schools Ordinance 2014 will be reinforced through the school education system.
