InDrive Driver ‘rapes, assaults’ woman in Lahore’s Sabzazar

A disturning incident of sexual assault has been reported from provincial capital Lahore, where a female passenger was attacked by her online taxi driver.

The victim told police that after finishing the ride and dropping off the victim and her friend at their home, inDrive driver asked to come inside, for some drinking water. After getting inside, the driver allegedly sexaully assaulted the woman and then tried to escape.

Lahore police lodged a case based on the victim’s complaint, which describes what happened and accuses the driver of subjecting her to sexual assault. Cops reportedly identified the taxi using its license plate number and are working to arrest him.
