The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has announced a financial assistance program for families of deceased breadwinners.
Families of individuals under 60 will receive PKR1 million, while families of those over 60 will receive PKR500,000. The Chief Minister also emphasized that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is undergoing significant transformation and is becoming a State of Madinah.
This initiative is part of the government’s efforts to support families in difficult situations. In addition, the federal government has approved a financial aid package for the families of missing persons.
Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar stated that the cabinet has decided to provide PKR5 million per family to assist the heirs of missing individuals. This package will provide both legal and financial support.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, while chairing the Federal Cabinet meeting in Islamabad, mentioned that the aid package was introduced following the recommendations of previous committees looking into the issue of missing persons.
The cabinet also approved the creation of a special committee to review the cases of families in need of support, ensuring that aid reaches those who genuinely require assistance.
These steps highlight the government’s commitment to supporting families who have lost loved ones, whether through death or disappearance, and to providing them with financial stability during difficult times.
