Motorcycle, Car Driving License Fee for Citizens of Punjab [January 2024 Update]

LAHORE – The Punjab government released an X post in which they informed the general populous of the massive increase in Driving license fees. The new Motorcycle and Car Driving License fee for Punjab citizens will be in effect from January 1, 2024.

The new rates for driving license and leaner permits for car and motorcycle are scheduled to come in effect from January 1, 2024 with a staggering increase in the fees.

Govt of Punjab has increased licence fee from Rs 60 to Rs 1000 for Car/MC with effect from 1st January 2024.

Learner Permit, License Fee from January 2024

The Learner permit or learner license fee has been massively increased and will come into effect from January 2024.

Old fee: Rs 60

New fee: Rs 500

Motorcycle Driving License Fee from January 2024

Prior to the new notification, the government took Rs 550 for 5 year validity of driving license. From January 2024 and onwards, the Punjab government will now be taking Rs 500 every year till the license expires.

Car, Jeep Driving License Fee from January 2024

Prior to the new notification, the government took Rs 950 for a license that is valid for 5 years. Now, the government is scheduled to take Rs 1,800 per year till the expiry of the license.
